The standard length is fixed at room temperature standard, which is 25C, at 30C the lenght scale would be elongated hence we will be measureing more length then actual, hence we need to decrease the length.
2. An example would be 2C,1.99999C,2.0000001C . This is precise by inaccurate as the actual temp is 0C
3. It should be recoreded as 40+- .0002 m, as both ends will count to the error
4. Avg is 182.4, deviations respectively will be 0,-.2,.1,.3,0,0,-.2 which sums upto zero
