Part A) In the given circuit

R1 = 7.5, R2 = 14.5 and R3 = 5.5

Here,

R2 and R3 are in parallel

So equivalent resistance of R2 and R3 = 14.5*5.5/(14.5+5.5)

= 3.9875 ohms

And it Is in series with R1

Equivalent resistance of whole circuit(Req)

= 3.9875 + R1

= 3.9875 + 7.5

= 11.4875 ohms

Therefore , equivalent resistance(Req) = 11.4875 ohms
