conservation of energy gives :-
1/2Vf^2 + mgHf = 1/2mVo^2 + mgHo
rearrenging the terms,
Hf - Ho = Vf^2 - Vo^2 / 2g
= (14^2 - 13^2) / 2*9.81
= 1.376 m
