Explanation / Answer

a) As the DAR is 10degree Celcius per 1000m, suppose you are at 0m and want to measure air temperature at 1000m, the difference is 1000. So, you'll use 1. Thus 1*10degree = 10degree.

Thus, at 1000m, the parcel temperature will be 10degree.

b) The parcel temperature at 2000m will be = 2*10 = 20degree. (2000m-0m = 2000; consider it as 2)

c) Similary, the parcel temperature at 4000m will be = 4*10 = 40degree
