English defeated French in 1763. Established England as a number one world power and gradually change the attitudes of the colonists as shut the myth of the British invicibility, created friction between British and colonial soldiers, began colonies uniting against British.
2. The first transcontinental railroad constructed for crossing the western half of America. It increases the westward immigration in the US by increasing the links between culture and settlement along it's path. The government confirmed the land to the people west belonged to the US by homestead act. The transcontinental railroad affect westward expansion and made it easier for settlers to move west and allowed transportation of goods over long distances.
