The aluminum wire has a resistance of 0.3840. What is the resistance of the copper wire? Take the resistivity of copper to be 1.72 x 10 B om, and that of aluminum to be 2.82 x 10-8 m. resistance(R) = resistivity(p) * l/A
so,
let p1 = resistivity of aluminium
p2 = resistivity of copper
R1 = Resistance of aluminium
R2 = Resistance of copper
so,
R2/ R1 = p2/p1 ( length of both wire are same )
=> R2/ 0.384 = 1.72 x 10^-8/2.82 x 10-8
=> R2 = 1.72*0.384/2.82
=> R2 = 0.2342 ohm
