At approximately what day and time did the maximum storm surge occur? 7. How does this show a relationship with the map you made in Google Earth? (Is this the surge you expect based on the map?) 8. Approximately how long did major storm surge conditions last at this location? 4Explanation / Answer
6. As per the graph given maximum storm surge was that of 6.7ft from the base. Now this highest peak corresponded to around 4 AM in the morning of 26 August.
7. Yes this does correspond with the google earth image provided.
8. The major storm surge condition is the condition in which the water levels were higher than the base water levels at any point of time. These highesr levels from the graph corresponds with 4PM, 25Aug to 4PM, 27Aug. Thus the major storm surge lasted for nearly 48 hours that is 2 days approximately.
