27. The Queen of Sheba or Queen Makeda from Ethipia, Africa was one of the many wives of King Solomon. Menelik I was the son of King Solomon and Queen Makeda, who later became the first emperor of Ethiopia.

This was a huge scale human trafficking with millions of africans displaced from their home continent to the Europe and the Americas. By the end of 15th century, Portuguese were the first to start the slave trade by illegally transporting them to Cape Verde Is. and its adjacent islands of Atlantic. Then came the Spanish at the start of 16th century. In the 17th century, Dutch came into the slave trading bussiness but French and English aggressively took part in the Transatlantic slave trade in the 18th century. All of these countries had acted upon their economic interests and to meet them, they started colonialism and then used the poor people of these colonies as slaves and transported them to Europe and Americas.
