See the question is not complete, what I have understood from the problem is that they might be asking about what should be the difference in latitude of the solar point on Dec 1 and Dec 21 and so on.
Solar point is a point on the earth surface where sunrays hit exactly perpendicular to the surface.
See within 180 days the solar point shift from 23.5 to -23.5
so the total change in latitude in 180 days is 47 degrees
so the change in latitude per day is a 47/180=0.261 degree
Now
a. Dec 1 and Dec 21
the difference in days is 20
change in latitude per day is 0.261
so total difference in latitude is =0.261*20=5.22 degrees, the sun moves in the south(s)
b. 31*0.261=8.091 degrees, the sun moves in North(N)
c.0.261*20=5.22 ,the sun moves in North(N)
d.31*0.261=8.091, the sun moves in North(N)
e.0.261*20=5.22, the sun moves in North(N)
f.31*0.261=8.091, the sun moves in South (S)
g.0.261*20=5.22, the sun moves in South (S)
