Question

The material needed for this problem is in the video A More Complex Example of Solving a Problem with Simulation An object moves under the action of an acceleration which obeys the formula a(t) = (800 m/s^3) t (note, this equation is dependent upon just t as opposed to in the video where it is t^2 I want to see if you understand the logic) Initially, the object is at x = 0m with an initial velocity of 3.00m/s. We will be solving for the motion for the first 0.02s iteratively using a 0.01s time step. The beginnings of the table are provided below.

At t = 0.01s

a(0.01) =800*0.01 = 8m/s^2

V = V0 + at = 3+8*0.01 =3.08m/s

X = V0t + ½*at^2 = 3*0.01 + 0.5 * 8*(0.01)^2 = 0.0304m

At t = 0.02s

a(0.02) = 800*0.02 =16m/s^2

V =V0 + at = 3 + 16*0.02 =3.32m/s

X = V0t +1/2 *at^2 = 3*0.02 + 0.5*16*0.02^2 =0.0632m
