Energy is the strength and vitality which is required for any physical or mental activity.

Heat is the last form of energy that means all types of energy finally transformed into heat. Heat can be lost easily from body by means of radiation. Our body also don't have setup for storage of heat as energy. So, heat is not a viable source of biological energy.

According to the first law of thermodynamics, energy can't be created or destroyed. It can be transferred from one location to another and converted one form to another. Energy increases the internal energy of the system.

Organisms are open system as they have input and output of energy. Input occurs by means of food consumption and output occurs by means of energy lost in the form of heat.
