Question

Your work on this exam will be graded according to two criteria: correctness and clarity of presentation, both mathematical and physical. In other words, you must know what you are doing, mathematically and scientifically, and you must also express yourself. In particular, write your answers to the questions using correct notation and in complete sentences when appropriate. Also, you must supply sufficient detail in your solutions, that is: relevant calculations, written explanations of why you undoing these calculations, et cetera. It is not sufficient to just write down an answer with no explanation of how' you arrived at that answer. As a rule of thumb, the harder that 1 have to work to interpret what you are trying to say, the less credit you will receive. The acceleration due to gravity on Mars is 1.0 m/s^2.
