Question
Significant figures.
What is wrong with my answers? Calculations are correct.
A simple pendulum has a mass of 0.150 kg and a length of 5.00 m. It is displaced through an angle of 10.0 degree and then released. Using the analysis model of a particle in simple harmonic motion, calculate the following. (Give your answer to the thousandths place.) What is the maximum speed of the bob? m.s What is the maximum angular acceleration of the bob? Check the number of significant figures. rad/s^2 What is the maximum restoring force of the bob? Check the number of significant figures. N Solve parts (a)through (c) by using other analysis models. maximum speed m/s maximum angular acceleration Check the number of significant figures. rad/s^2 maximum restoring force Check the number of significant figures. NExplanation / Answer
Your decimal places are incorrect. Thousandth means up to the third decimal place(1/1000=0.001) where as you have given it to 4th decimal place. 0.340 and 0.255 would be identified correct.
