a) mass of water displaced = loss in mass of body

= 46 - 3.6 = 42.4 g = 0.0424 kg

b) volume of bone = mass of displaced water/ density of water = (42.4 g)/(1 g/cm3) = 42.4 cm3 = 42.4 x 10-6 m3

c) density = 0.046 kg/42.4 x 10-6 m3 = 1084.9 kg/m3
