Q.1 Answer- All scientific papers have same general format. Typically a scientific paper comprise of following sections.
1. Title
2. Abstract
3. Information
4. Methods
5. Results
6. Discussion
7. Acknowledgments
8. Literature cited.
Each section carries different information , which may be briefly put as -
1. Title - It includes species studied, kinds of experiments performed and sometimes a brief indication of results.
2. Abstract- An abstract provides us complete but very brief summary of paper.
3. Introduction - It includes background information and authors hypothesis.
4. Methods- It tells us how the author actually performed the experiment.
5. Results- This section includes the data collected during experiment.
6. Discussion- This section explains how the author interprets the data and how he/she interlink it with other works.
7. Acknowledgments- It shows the people or institution that works for this project in addition to the author.
8. Literature cited- It include refrence to various sources.
Q.2 Answer- Generally scientific writings do not accept direct quotes and are very rarely used.
In case we need to use someone else's idea , we must used proper citation and place quotation marks around the quoted material.
