Question
In parallel lo the 100 Ohm resistor you connect another resistor. You can choose between a 2 Ohm resistor and 2000 Ohm resistor. Which resistor you have to choose to have the smallest possible difference between the initial resistance and the effective resistance of such combination? Explain. Figure below shows time dependence of the voltage in periodically changing signal. What is the frequency of the signal? Draw a circuit diagram for the circuit that consists of the 1 mu F capacitor and 1mH inductor connected in parallel and calculate the period of oscillation of the current in this circuit.Explanation / Answer
1.)
Initial Resistance = 100
Now, We need to connect resistance in parallel
Let the New Register be R
In parallel -
Equivalent Resistance = (R*100)/(R+100)
If we take 2 then,
Req = (2*100)/(100+2) = 1.96
If we take 2000 then,
Req = (2000*100)/(100+2000) = 95.24
So we can clearly least Difference between the Initial anf Final Combination resistance is in case of 2000 Resistor.
Therefore we will go with 2000 Resistor.
2.)
We Can clearly see , Time period of this signal = 2 ms
Frequency , f = 1/T
f = 1/(2 * 10^-3)
f = 500 Hz
Frequency of the Signal, f = 500 Hz
