3. Suppose that you have an object travelling at 75 miles per hour. Calculate the speed of the object in kilometers per second.

1. h = 2.8 mile = 2.8 x 5280 ft = 14784 ft

volume = pi r^2 h  

4100 = pi r^2 14784

r = 0.297 ft

2. heigh above sea level = 33491 - 19672 = 13819 ft

and 1 ft = 0.3048 m

h = 13819 x 0.3048 = 4212.03 m

3. v = 75 miles per hour = 75 x 1.609 m / 3600 sec = 0.0335 km/s
