A) Apply, 1*m*g*(L-x) = 3*m*g*g*x

L-x = 3*x

L = 4*x

==> x = L/4 = 20/4 = 5 cm

B) 4*m*g*(L-y) = 11*m*g*y

4*L - 4*y = 11*y

4*L = 15*y

==> y = 4*L/15

= 4*15/15

= 4 cm

C) 5*m*g*(L-z) = 15*m*g*z

L-z = 3*z

L = 4*z

==> z = L/4

= 8/4

= 2 cm
