a- The activity and the disulfide bonds are associated with proteins. The aromatic proteins shows maximum absorption at an absorption spectra at 260 nm. The graph also shows peak at 260-270 nm, this indicates that the protein contains aromatic amino acids in its structure.
Activity means the stabilizing property of a protein structure. Hence in the graph the disulfide bonds and activity show parallel orientation.
b- The increase in the activity with the increase in the disulfide bond is shown. The proteins contain peptide bonds ( bonds between two amino acids) and aromatic amino acids ( tryptophane, tyrosine and phenylalanine). By looking at the graph it can be said that the protein contains trypophan amino acids hence it shows maximum absorption spectra at 270-280 nm along with increased activity.
C- peptide bonds in the proteins show activity at 220 nm. And the lower activity ( fall in peak) indicates non- aromatic amino acids in the protein chain.
