Unfortunately, such errors can lead to serious sometimes fatal disorders/diseases. How are diseases like Turner Syndrome and Down Syndrome different than those like Cystic Fibrosis and Sickle Cell Anemia (Hint: how are they inherited? please provide details) Couples now have the opportunity to get genetically tested before trying to conceive to determine which genetic diseases they are at risk of passing on. When this time comes for you, would you want to have such a test done? Why or why not? Would this be useful for individuals that were adopted and don't know their biological family? Down syndrome ,Turner syndrome constitute the most common chromosomal abnormalities.down syndrome typically is recognized at birth,Turner syndrome often is not recognized until adolscence.although each syndrome is caused by an abnormal number of chromoses,or aneuploidy.they are are distinct syndromes with learning disabilities.
