Question

6. Even though they have several differences, a bacterium and a human cell will both contain DNA. With respect to evolution, what does this fact suggest? True or false: If false, please make it a correct statement. A rancher uses a particular chicken for breeding purposes because, on average, she observed that the chicken laid more eggs than other chickens. The rancher selecting the desirable trait would be considered an example o natural selection. 7. Iajor Theme Connection: 1. As a general rule, viruses are not considered to be alive based on several reasons. One such reason is that some viruses use RNA as their genetic material instead of DNA. Which of the five biological themes does this violate? Briefly explain why.

Explanation / Answer

6.- Evolution is a product of DNA, it carries the genetic information of the species and has been developing over millions of years, favoring the processes of evolution. Over the years it has been shown that nucleic acids affect the hereditary characters of each species, in addition DNA is the only biomolecule that has constantly changed over the years but its basic configuration has remained.
The evolution in the species has been given as a resistance to the different conditions of survival and is responsible for the similarities that we observe in all the species, for example the bacteria that are particularly important in the evolution of our lineage, since humans have had genetic transfers from bacteria, this is proposed to have occurred before the human species evolved.
