Explanation / Answer

here,

mass , m = 8.2 kg

radius , r = 0.2 m

accelration , a = 0.895 rad/s^2

rotations , s = 7 rev

s = 43.98 rad

let the final angular velocity be w

using third equation of motion

w^2 - w0^2 = 2 * a * s

w^2 = 2 * 0.895 * 43.98

w = 8.87 rad/s

the kinetic energy , KE = 0.5 * I * w^2

KE = 0.5 * (2/3) * m * r^2 * w^2

KE = 0.5 * (2/3) * 8.2 * 0.2^2 * 8.87^2

KE = 8.6 J

the kinetic energy of the shell after it has turned through 7.00 rev is 8.6 J
