Mass of vertical rods= m2=m3=18 g
Length of the rods = L = 27 cm
Coordinates:
x1=13.5 cm, y1=27 cm
x2=0, y2 = 13.5 cm
x3=27 cm, 13.5 cm
a) X coordinate of the center of mass = (m1x1 + m2x2 + m3x3)/[m1+m2+m3]
= (54x13.5)+(18x0)+(18x13.5) /(54+18+18)
= 1215/90
= 13.5 cm
Y coordinate of the center of mass = (m1y1+m2y2+m3y3)/(m1+m2+m3)
= (54x27)+(18x13.5)+(18x13.5)/(54+18+18)
