Question
An in compressible and frictionless fluid flows left to right at a constant volumetric flow rate through a pipe with a circular cross-section of uneven diameter, as shown below. Rank the pressure at the four labeled points, from highest to lowest.
An incompressible and trictionless fluid fNows left to right at a constant volumetric flow rate with a circular cross-section of uneven diameter, as points, from highest to lowest through a pipe below. Rank the pressure at the four labeled ghest PressureExplanation / Answer
I am arranging the pressure values in ascending order.
A > D > B > C
Here is the explanation.
Bernoulli's equation
P + 0.5*rho*v^2 + rho*g*h = constant
in all the cases h is constant.
so, where diameter is large v will be less. so, pressure will be high.
so, pressure is directly prprtional to daimeter of the pipe(in this case)
