Question

I am doing the calculations for a lab report on circuits, but I'm not sure how to take the data I have and turn it into the proper calculations I need. If you could check out the relavent data I post below and show me how to set up or do the calculations, I would be most appreciative!

From the lab walk through:

Series Capacitors

Using the same bulb and 2 batteries from part 1, connect two identical capacitors together in series and measure the final voltage across each capacitor once they are fully charged.

Try it again using one silver and one green capacitor. Be sure to check the voltage across each capacitor when you are finished.

Calculate the equivalent capacitance of this circuit and use the known capacitances of each capacitor to calculate what final voltage each should have for each situation. Compare the theoretical and measured values of voltage for each.

Here is the data that I have:

Capacitor

F

Co

Cf

Time to charge

Green

1.0 F

0.0 V

1.318 V

~1:50

Blue

0.0 V

1.323 V

Green

1.0 F

0.0 V

.253 V

~0:45

Silver

0.1 F

0.0 V

2.368 V

~0:45

Any help you can give me would be most appreciated!

edit: for those wondering, I believe we had it set up so that Co = initial capacitor charge, and Cf = final capacitor charge. Also, battery A = 1.327 V and battery B = 1.326 V.

Explanation / Answer

can you please tell what does Co and Cf stands for . also what are the values of voltages in the batteries
