4. Refer to case study 1 below to answer the following question: How should Joe address his concerns while working within the boundaries of his professional role, legal requirements and his organisation’s policies and procedures?

Case study 1

Joe works in a community agency where Susannah attends English language classes. She has three children who attend a play group at the centre. Joe has noticed that Susannah has bruises on her face and arms and that two of the children have bruises on the backs of their legs.

Joe is concerned about Susannah and her children. He is finding it hard to sleep at night and is staying back at the community centre after his shift finishes so that he can spend a few minutes talking to Susannah. He has offered to drive her home and to pick her and the children up in the morning. Joe has also approached a police officer who is a friend of his and told him about his concerns. He has given the police officer Susannah’s address and asked him to drive past her house and check on her welfare.

Case study 1:

In this case study we can find that Joe is an community agency worker he knows very well about he the community relation-ships and the value of that.Here Susannah attends English language classes in the agency.As an community agency worker Joe noticed that she has bruises in her body.The 3 childrens of Susannah,they attends a play group at the centre.He noticed that two of the childrens have bruises in their body.As a community agency worker he thought some harrasment or threats has happened to Susannah and her childrens from her house.

All the organizations have their own policies and procedures.We should be work according to the organizations policies and procedures,that doesn't means that avoidance of another person and their problems,but we should be work with in our limits that means we have to maintain our responsibilities in the job.We have to recognize the safety of women and childrens in our community along with our professionalism.As an worker we won't violate our professional role and boundary and relation-ship to others,but acts on any violence against the women and children in our community and put in notice of our police and court to protect them from the violence and threats they are facing from the home,public etc
