Debate in favor of her leaving. Debate Hurricane Plan s Mailings Review View AaBbCcDdEE AaBbCcDdEe AaBbCcD NormalNo Spacing Heading 1 A woman is committed to the hospital from the ER because she is depressed, using cocaine, and threatening to harm herself. She recovers from the depression, but testing reveals that she is pregnant and she says that plans to continue using cocaine after her discharge from the hospital. Should you re-commit her or let her go? Consider legal and ethical standards here, not just your personal morals. When carn someone be involuntarily committed? Does this case meet those criteria? 3. Preparation and Individual portion: Each group member should contribute substantially to this project by finding articles, crafting arguments, and preparing for the debate day. In addition to the in-class group portion, each individual should write a 2-page report that outlines a) a brief description of his/her contribution to the project, b) an overview of the key points in your position (in your own words!), and a brief discussion of what you have gained from the project and how your views on the subject have/have not changed. The paper should be written in APA format, meaning that you should have a references list and in-text citations formatted according to APA style (e.g. Fleming & Cordova, 2012). The paper should be double spaced, in a "normal" 12-point font, with about 1-inch margins. The paper should be no shorter than 2 full pages, and no longer than 3 (excluding references). The paper should be free from grammatical errors. Please bring a paper copy to class on the day of the debate. This report must be your own work.
