hello, i need help in master level on this question. kindly try possible ASAP please
describe a situation in which you observed practices by providers that are not supported by the most recent evidence-based literature or clinical practice guidelines. how could you approach this provider if you had a concern about the provider's practice?
here is instructions on how to go a bout it...
Kindly discuss outdated medical treatment practices that are not supported with current recommended evidence-based guidelines e.g management of hypertension in adults. Now JNC 8 simplified the treatment of hypertension.
Hope this help. Thank you.
Explanation / Answer
The outdated medical treatment practices that are not supported by current recommended evidence-based guidelines e.g. management of hypertension in adults include considering the genetic predisposition of the person to hypertension. Basing the treatment after through blood profiling such as determining the blood sugar, cholesterol and thyroid levels in case a patient suffers from an attack of hypertension that is currently done in hospitals based on the evidence-based practice. Earlier this was not the approach; only recording the blood pressure was considered enough. Thus if we observe a situation in which we observed practices by providers that are not supported by the most recent evidence-based literature or clinical practice guidelines we should voice our concern both at the level of the administration of the healthcare and if they don't adhere we should file a medical malpractice lawsuit.
