An inventor claims to have developed an air conditioner that removes 2 joules of heat for every joule of energy input. Which advice would you give to potential investors?

First law of thermodynamics: In any thermodynamic process, the net heat absorbed by a system is equal to the sum of the net work done by the system and the change in the internal energy of the system.

The inverter violates the first law of thermodynamics, which is not possible giving 2 J heat by 1 J input.
