At the instant the packets are dropped, the aircraft is flying 30.0 m above ground-level and traveling at a constant velocity with components 10.0 m/s upward and 15.0 m/s horizontal.
At what horizontal distance, relative to the location of the aircraft when the packets are dropped, will the packets land on the ground? Assume that the terrain is flat and air resistance is negligible.

Let horizontal distance is X, Ux is initial velocity in x direction, Uy is initial velocty in y direction
now using equation of motion
X= (Ux)*t ( a =0)
X = 15*t
Y = (Uy)*t + 1/2*a*t^2
0-30 = 10t - 1/2*9.8*t^2
solving this we get t =3.69 sec
X= 15*3.69 = 55.35m
yes it will land on ground
