2. The rate of photosynthesis varies with differentenvironmental conditions such as light intensity, wavelength oflight, temperature, and so on. a. Devise an experiment to demonstrate that one environmentalcondtion will alter the rate of photosynthesis. b. State your hypothesis, the procedure, how you would collectthe data, the results you expect. c. State the scientific theory behind your expectations. 2. Explanation / Answer

Okay so want to do is create an experiment that keeps everythingconstant, except for one variable. a. In order to do this, you can have two plants. Everything isconstant between the two plants, such as amount of sunlight, etc.The only difference is that you can make one plant have a highertemperature. That way, you can compare your results with theconstant plant that was at the normal temperature. b. The hypotheses is that when temperature increases, the rate ofphotosynthesis will increase. You will collect this data bycomparing the mass of the plant. With a sufficient amount ofresources, I would expect that the higher the temperature, thefaster rate of photosynthesis due to water evaporating from theplant, through transpiration, creating a quicker process. Or youcould hypothesize that temperature does not affect the rate ofphotosynthesis. c. Activation of Rubisco, which is needed for photosynthesis, regulates photosynthesis at high temperature and CO2. The plantsenzymes will be working at it's optimal temperature. Due to thekinetic theory, molecules will be moving at a faster rate.
