Gestalt theories takes holistic approach, while behavioral theories take a molar approach. The field in gestalt psychology field is the surrounding or environment with which the individual interacts. According to Gestalt theory the complexity of brain couldn't be reduced and that it acquires knowledge,interacts with the surroundings and connect to it by the ability of perception. Brain disorders impairs the full functioning of brain and it adversely effects the ability of perception,hence, they are critical in gestalt research. According to gestalt theory learning occurs through meaningful problem solving that occurs through the perception, evaluation and interaction with the surrounding or environment. From Piaget's,we can gather that Intelligence is cognitive ablity to reason,evaluate and manipulate the existing information or knowledge and apply it to the situation as per need. A person's schema is responsible for providing mental frameworks for different concepts. Adaptation processes as assimilation, accomodation and equilibrium is used for modifying organism's cognitive structure according to Piaget's theory.
