Well here, it is related to comic book abour Archie and Betty. The Betty has the inbuilt characterstcics of being loving, quiet more of a home friendly while Archie is more of an outgooing guy. So personally I don't think so that there are any male female characterstics associated. Eg: Ross from FRIENDS would prefer here writing cards while Phoebe would prefer playing with lights or hanging out. So there are in built characterstics of a person regardless of Gender. These roles are traditionally defined by the society such as males to go out and do the work while females to sit at home and do the chores. So for years a man never did household work and woman did not go out. but now the roles have changed a lot, women have entered in almost all te fields of men and men are also looking after kids, feeding them or assisting in some house hold chores.
