Question l: Suppose you are a senior manager in a global management consulting company. Which conflict management style do you think is the best and would you adopt? Justify your answer. Question 2: Assimilation is one of the main strategies that can be used in merging organizational cultures. Answer No. 1:

Being a Senior Manager in a consulting company the management style I'll apply to choose will be "Collaborating"

Reason being this kind of conflict management style will help to be collaborative with clients and in turn help to crack better deals. With the collaboration all the parties shall be able to achieve the goals in this kind of management style. In collaboration better ideas can be explored and by this a win-win situation can be achieved.

Answer 2 Part 1:

Usually in the situation of companies merger assimilation strategy being applied to harmonize the culture of organizations. This kind of strategy are always employee friendly therefor easy to apply and absorbed by the company employees.

Answer 2 Part 2:

When a company merges with another company or acquires the business of another company then the parent company decides about the organizational culture which is need to be followed in both the organizations to roll out a single organizational culture.

In my opinion as a consultant I would suggest the company to roll out one survey first to check the current health of the organization then after getting the results it should decide what are the good practices available in both the entities then forming a best format of good qualities these these qualities should be nurtured in the organization.
