Question

Part I Fluids Archimedes? Principal You have an object of mass Mo and volume Vo You also know the value of g (the acceleration due to gravity). 1. When you place this object in fluid #1, it sinks to 4/5 its length. Determine the density of liquid #1 in terms of known quantities. 2. When you place the object in liquid #2, it sinks to the bottom of the container so you suspend it in the liquid by attaching it to a string and the tension in the string is T. Determine the density of liquid #2 in terms of known quantities. 3. When you place the object in liquid #3, it floats and when you set an object also of mass M0 on top of this mass it is totally submerged with the top of the object at the surface of the liquid. Determine the density of liquid #3.
