Question

I need an answer for those questions please:

1- Do you think it would be helpful for you and your loved ones to have a discussion about death and dying to see what people would or would not like, such as burial, funerals, cremation, scattering of ashes? Why or why not? When is the best time for such a discussion?

2- When do you think a person should fill out an advanced health care directive and appoint someone they respect to make health care decisions for them in case they are in a coma or lose the capacity to think for them self? (noting that they must at least be at the age of legal majority in whatever state they live in)

3- Has this chapter module on potential preparations for death and dying provided you with some ideas you really plan on implementing? If yes – what? If no – just let us know – for this question a simple “no”. will do unless you wish to explain more.

Explanation / Answer

According to the Chegg guidelines I'll answer the first question when more than one question is posted. Post them separately to get the answers.

1) Yes, it is very important for the family to talk each other about everything that includes also death and there is nothing wrong talking about death. The best time to talk about such thing when the whole family visits someone's funeral and after funeral sitting together and that time you should ask each other what and how would they like to be done after death means whether cremation, burial, scattering. Whether they want funeral to be done or not. There nothing negative about death and you should always have such discussions with the family.
