A) deceptively large : because the objects appear enlarged in water by less than the 4/3 angular magnification.
They usually appear beyond their optical distance and slightly enlarged in linear size.

Problem (2)A sighted, but color-blind Person cant see a rainbow.

Rainbow is basically refraction of sunligh in round water droplets, they are always formed on anti solar point that is in the opposite to that of the sun.

(A)As its a late afternoon, and that time sun's direction is towardswest, so you should try locating the Rainbow in East, as it will be formed in oppsite direction of sun.
