The increase in pressure of cerebrospinal fluid is called as increased intracranial pressure. It can also be due to increase in pressure inside the brain.

The patient with increased intracranial pressure must be positioned in the neutral midline position. The head should be raised to an angle of 30 to 45 degrees. The pressure should be tried to kept low , so that the venous drainage from the cranium is promoted.
