With increasing diversity in the United States, a question has arisen regarding what accommodations should be made to assist the diverse population. Some groups or individuals feel in order to address the increasingly diverse population; we must employ a medical staff that is reflective of a community's population. For example, if half of the population in a community is Hispanic, the medical office staff should be comprised of Hispanic workers.

Disparities in health are termed as unequal load in disease morbidity and mortality rates experienced by ethnic/racial groups as compared to the dominant group.
Important disparities that need to be addressed in the healthcare industry are below
Cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and HIV/AIDS.
Main causes of health disparities are poor education, health behaviours of the minority group, poverty, and environmental factors.
Health disparities affect individuals adversely. Sometimes better treatment is not availed by individuals due to disparities.
Best remedies for disparity that can be implemented are below.
