Industrialization and spread of technology has made people to allocate resources more efficiently. People have learnt to share knowledge and resources, if they were not integrated; than they would have spend lot of man hours on doing the same thing. Regarding the invention of bulbs, many people have contributed but as there was no proper communication between Edison, Wairen de La Rue(first run electricity through filament) and Humphry Davy first (invented crude electric light). It took longer years to get a finished bulb into the market.

Yes technology increases the dependence on technology; mobile phone has become more than a mobile today rather than a decade ago. Though, we require it only for making calls. An increased technology has made us to depend on it for directions, information, connectivity, protection and more.

Technology like AC helps us to maintain room temperature of 18 degrees when there is a freezing chill or a high temperature out side. Thus we are protected to some against the external climate. But if there is shortage of power will make us realize that we are completely dependent on these machines.

A typical woman loves to keep her home well organized with all comforts. Newer or higher technology has actually served her in achieving this. Though the work for women has increased, but it actually multiplied the comforts she can enjoy.

The humanities that are also regarded as social sciences include study of technology, history, anthropology, area studies, communication studies, cultural studies, law and linguistics. So a study of humanities helps us to frame better legal framework to live peacefully by integrating all the above mentioned disciplines.
