Her vital signs remain within normal ranges. She is fully able to participate in her daily care. She describes herself as the matriarch of her family, and looks forward to daily visits from her family even when her pain rating is high. Her church pastor calls and visits her several times per week. She anticipates discharge in a few days. Initial Discussion Post: For your assigned scenario, address the following: 1. Overian Cancer :- This ia a cancer which is occred in the ovary of the women, which is most commonly seen after menopouse.
Most commanly the cancer patients suffer from pain which is the common signs seen .
The nursing diagnosis for overian cancer related to pain are as follows:-
1) Chronic pain due to side effects related to treatment regimen and diseases progress.
Intervention:-
a) Assess the level of pain using the pain scale score from 0-10 on daily basis.
b) Evauate the regimen of pharmacological and non pharmacological aspects for pain .
c) Assess the patient’s use of nonpharmacological methods to control pain.
Rationale:-
a) helps to recognise degree of pain.
b) It helps to reinforce the health status and wellness of the petient.
c) It will help to improve the cognitive behaviour, and also will help to divert the mind of the patient towrds pain.
2)Alteration in nutrition and sleeping patterns due to pain
Interventions:-
a)Asses the weakness, decreased appetite, weight loss, changes in body posture and sleeping pattern.
b)Provide accupressure towards the site of pain.
c) Provide nutritional diet to the pateint and refer the patient to a nutionanist.
d) Provide analgesics like opoids , non opoids, and non steriodal antiinflamatory drug .

a) Assess the level of patients behavior like restlessness, irritabilitly, and depression.
b) Provide a peaceful and calm environment.
c) Administration of antianxiety/ antidepressents to the patient.
