Schmeckt Gut is a company that sells 2 products, Schmeckt Gut 2.0 Bar and Schemckt Gut energy Bar.

District D usually has a demand of 3,000 Schmeckt Gut 2.0 and 18,000 Schemckt Gut energy Bar. Suddenly we receive a notice that the demand has increased to 4,000 Schmeckt Gut 2.0 and 20,000 Schemckt Gut energy Bar.

a-Discuss and explain at least three possibilities how we could meet that demand.

b-For each solution that you have identified and discussed above, explain whether or not your solution is sustainable

Explanation / Answer

The first option is to increase production of these two products to increase supply which will meet the additional demand. This will stabilise price otherwise exceeding demand will increse the price. this option is very much sustainable for long term.

The 2nd option is import additional products to meet the demand.but it will involve the currency exchange risk which will reflect in cost. it might lead to increase price. This is not sustainable.

Lat option is reduce consumption to equilibrium the demand and keep it under control. Buts its not taht easy and sustainable as demand and consumption increase oover time due to various factors and its nnatural.
