As a provider, you are constantly working with your team to provide the care needed to your patients without having them incur massive medical costs. As a result, you end up having to move Sandra around the hospital a lot in order to access the different types of coverage offered by the insurance. You start her out in intensive care and after a week or two there, you move her to OB intensive care, then you move her non-intensive care and then eventually to rehabilitation. You do this so that you can bill her insurance in different ways in an effort to make sure her coverage is continued. If her coverage runs out, Sandra will not be able to afford to stay in the hospital, which you believe is critically important. Do you think these concerns should be the concerns of a provider? Why or why not?

It is clearly stated that as a provider I am constantly working with my team to provide the care needed by the patients where the patients need not to incur massive medical expenditure. Now, an effort in this regard has to be well calibrated. The medical condition of the patient, the expenditure which a patient can afford and the provider's responsibilities along with the scope of his/her duties should be taken into consideration. In this case, Sandra's economic condition is not very good as there is an implicit indication and her condition needs her to say in the hospital. So, the concerns are fully justified.
