Gelato Cheese Company has violated Civil RIghts Act of 1964 because the cleaning crew department which required candidates to be passed out of high school diploma as a comdition of employment had hired all-white Americans. As per the statistics, there have been three-fourths of the white population who completed high school where as one-fourth of those in the minority groups (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American and others). It shows that Gelato Cheese Company did not take this opporturnity to hire candidiates applying for the post of cleaning crew who are from the minority groupd residing in America. It shows violation of CIvil RIght Act of 1964, the act which states that there must be no discrimination of based on race, caste, color, creed, sex or national origin. It also abolished racial segregation at workplace, educational institutions, etc. The law was enforced by John F. Kennedy which gaurantees about equal rights and access of facilities, duties and places by people of all religion, caste, creed, sex, color, etc. Although the Gelato Chese Com[any whose plant is located in Heartland Corners shows the working population of 50 percent white, 25 percent African American with the balance of Hispanic American, Asian American and others. But the employment given to only white American as cleaning crew is stated to be discrimination against minority gropus for the employment of cleaning crew as per the Civil RIghts Act of 1964.
