Immigration Issues – immigration issues have played a large part in U.S. domestic policy and in the current presidential campaign. What should U.S. immigration policy be? Given immigration limits, how should the U.S. decide which people to admit? (e.g., admit relatives of legal U.S. residents; admit only the best trained people; sell the rights to immigrate to the U.S.; etc.). How should the U.S. deal with current illegal immigrants in the country and what implications does this have for future immigration?

What should be immigration policy is debatable. We just cannot form a certain patter. As immigration is related to socio economical ethnicity of the country.
As a global economic power US attracts many nations individuals. But there are certain rules formed from time to time from colonial period to the post 1960 amendments.
If an individual is good enough to generate money for his personal sake and then he has strong chances to be welcomed into the country. As there are many different ways to call up our close proximity people into US if you are permanent resident. It all depends ( This kind of question can be answered with GAME Theory)
There are LAWs made by American government for illegal immigrants. But in the recent past Obama outspoken on the same issue as there is a strong need of law to take care of this illegal immigrants. Any way there are some executive powers with in the hands of government to take care of illegal immigrants. But the recent reforms in the immigrations are profitable for the economy of the government.
As per the change in public opinion government has to take up its plans and policy making , Bluntly no party ever made any plan. Public is the ultimate decision makers in America.
As country thinks for its good, it is allowing worthy immigrants to generate more economy.
