That is the use of all different kinds of weather maps. This lab will look at surface conditions. They are presented on a map using the following conventions 76 138 Upper Left #: Temperature Left Code: Current Weather Lower Left #: Dew Point Center Dot: Cloud Cover (measured in 8ths) Line Extending from Center Dot: Wind speed and Direction Upper Right: Barometric Pressure Lower Right and graphic Pressure tendency ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS, USING THE MAP ON PAGE 3. 1. What is the current temperature at Texarkana, Arkansas(TXK)? 2, Dew point?- 3. Barometric pressure? 4. What are the temperature, dew point and pressure reading at El Dorado, Td,P Arkansas? T 5. How are the winds different between these two stations?Explanation / Answer
1. Current temperature is denoted in Left upper side. Then Current temperature is 77 F. (Mostly F is used in Surface weather map)
2. Due point is denoted in left lower side. Then dew point is 55F.
3. Barometric pressure is denoted in Upper right side. The Barometric pressure is 138 mb. (Mostly mb is used in Surface weather map)
4. Pressure is denoted in lower right , then pressure is 3 mb. Temperature - 76 F, Dew point 55 F
