Explanation / Answer

Given, There are three equation. They are-

-35x - 2y + z = -25 --------- Equation 1

20x + y = 17 ----------Equation 2

-40x - 2y + z = -30 -----------Equation 3

By subtracting Equation 2 in Equation 1, we get

-35x -2y +z +25 - (-40x -2y +z +30) = 0

-35x -2y +z +25 +40x +2y -z -30 = 0

-35x +40x +25 -30 = 0

-35x +40x = -25 +30

5x = 5

x = 5/5

x = 1

Put the value of x in equation 2, Hence we Get the value of y, then

20x +y = 17

Put x = 1 (by above finding)

20*1 +y = 17

20 +y = 17

y = 17 - 20

y = -3

By putting the value of x and y in equation 1, then we get the value of z-

-35x -2y +z = -25

Put the value x = 1 and y = -3 in equation 1

-35*1 - 2*(-3) + z = -25

-35 +6 +z = -25

-29 +z = -25

z = -25 + 29

z = 4

So,

The value of X = 1, y = -3 and Z = 4.
