1) Warmer temperatures will result in the formation of a low pressure region over the surface. With the increase in surface temperatures the air parcel in contact will heat up. This will cause the air parcel to rise, creating a zone of low pressure.
2) Temperature and volumetric change in the air parcel are related by the laws of thermodynamics. When an air parcel expands adiabatically, its temperature will fall to maintain a constant internal energy. In the other way round when a air parcel is compressed, its temperature rises.
3) The null hypothesis would be- Increase in surface temperature results in the formation of low pressure zones.
Example 2- Reverse.... Increase in temperature decreases the air pressure.
