Organizational policy of IT-related ethical workforce privacy issue
Overview of policy: Stakeholders like employees, suppliers, customers, shareholders, and financial institutions are interested with the business activities of the company. Therefore, the company is liable to protect their interests. The company will take strong action against any unlawful or unwanted activity, which damages ethics.
Purpose: The purpose of the policy is to establish mutual trust and cooperation among the employees not to compromise with IT-related privacy. If the privacy is exposed, ethic could be in danger. Workers should maintain privacy while cooperating with others.
Scope: The policy is applicable to all employees of the company, either permanent or temporary. If the policy is not followed by any of the staffs, the company will take disciplinary action against him/her.
Policy/procedure to follow: Each employee’s computer must be locked with unique password. The passwords must be kept changing on regular basis.
Employees must not share their work or work experience with other people, unless approved by the management.
Management should be informed immediately, if any IT-mismatch is noticed.
Sanctions/enforcement: The management of the company under the supreme authority of managing director has the power to sanction and enforce the policy.
