1. Convergent active continental plate margin. Continental margins are of two types Active and Passive margins. Passive margins are tectonically stable areas within the continent or oceans while the active margins are of two types, Firstly, convergent active margin between continental and oceanic crust having tectonically unstable areas and secondly, transform active margins which are less common and are associated with transform plate boundaries.

2. a-continental rise, they are gently slopped with 1-2 degrees with depositon of sediment through suspension fallout

b- continental slope, dipping upto 30degrees, generally submarine avalanches takes place here due to turbidity current under the sea

a-continental shelf, gently to steeply dipping upto 10 degrees, nearest to the shorelines having sediments deposited from the river mouth.

3. Passive margin. Tectonically stable area within the ocean.

4. d- Submarine canyon. These are features related with the oceanic crust generally formed due to underwater avalanche in the continental slope. Due to sudden earthquake or mainly due to turbidity current in the deep ocean the sediments in the continental slope portion gets unstable and an underwater landslide takes place making deep gorges in the continental slope which leads to features like submarine canyons. They are larger in size compared to the gorges formed due to rivers, eg Grand canyon.
